| I'm especially thankful for good friends. I went to New York and
New Jersey for thanksgiving. One day in Long Island, one in north
Jersey, one in Manhatan, one on the Jersey shore, and about one in a
car. I didn't bring a camera because I'm a Californian who is
afraid of New York, I view it as a giant city of pickpockets and
traffic (half true), but here is a picture from the last time I was in
Manhattan, about 16 months ago on my way to catch a flight out of JFK,
I stopped in Central Park for about two hours and then got back on the
subway to the airport.

| Five years of work by countless people, and now this lovely garden keeps the rain out of four floors of Hammerschlag.

| The first is of a hawk that happened to fly right by me while I was
walking home with a digital SLR I had borrowed from a friend... I want
one. Apparently it has been hunting rabbits by QED for a few
days, there used to be a lot of them around there. The second is
maybe 6 months old, cramming people into a phone booth for a photo
scavenger hunt. Its unedited, between the flash and the light and
my hand it just came out crazy.
